A WHEELIE bin has been used to warn residents over a sinkhole in the middle of the road.
Photographs have been shared of the bin positioned over the collapsed ground in Bower Road in Bournemouth.
The sinkhole is believed to have appeared on Saturday morning.
One resident described the site as ‘dangerous’ and is calling for warnings to be put in place for motorists.
He said: “My wife had been out in the car, and as she was driving round the corner, a woman had jumped out to stop her from driving into it.
“It’s right in the middle of the road and it is quite deep.
“My wife was quite appalled. If that woman didn’t jump out, she would’ve driven into it.
“She told me about it so I went round to have a look and take a photo. I was very surprised to see that there’s no warning about it- there’s no barriers or anything.”
The resident said he had tried to report it to Bournemouth Highways but had been unsuccessful.
