PROPERTIES are at risk of flooding at a Dorset home park, the Environment Agency has warned.

A flood warning has been issued for the Lower Stour at Iford Bridge Home Park.

The warning means ‘flooding is expected - act now’.

It reads: “Flooding is expected in this area.

“This means properties are at risk of flooding.

“Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather and river conditions.

“Avoid contact with, walking or driving through flood water.

“Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have.”

It comes after heavy rain caused major flooding issues across parts of Dorset and the New Forest on Monday.

Roads closed included Matchams Lane and Stony Lane.

Twenty-three people had to be rescued from Woolsbridge Industrial Estate due to severe flooding which affected a number of buildings.

Cars also became stuck in floodwater at the site with firefighters called to rescue people trapped in their cars with another rescued from a tree.
