Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted in Wimborne in December.
The boy was playing basketball with a friend at Redcotts Recreation Ground at around 4pm on Thursday December 29 when an unknown teenage boy approached the pair.
After a brief interaction, the boy punched the 15-year-old in the face and walked off, leaving the victim with bruising to his eye and a cut to his nose.
The police are looking for information on the offender, who is described as aged between 15 and 17-years-old, white, and around five feet eight or nine inches tall.
At the time of the assault, he was wearing a black tracksuit, with a green bandana on his head covering his hair and was carrying a large bottle of Fanta Orange.
Police Constable Matt Cutler, of East Dorset police, said: “Our investigation is continuing and we have now obtained a full account from the victim.
“I understand a number of people came to the aid of the victim and I would ask them to please come forward as they may have information to help my enquiries.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who recognises the boy from the description given or knows who may be responsible.”
