FAST-food giant McDonald’s has announced an opening date for its new site in Christchurch.
The new McDonald’s restaurant in Christchurch Retail Park is due to open at 11am on Wednesday, February 8.
A spokesperson for the company said: “We’re all really excited to be opening a brand-new McDonald’s restaurant in Christchurch Retail Park from 11am on Wednesday, February 8.
“We look forward to welcoming our customers, old and new, to enjoy the services we have to offer.”
The new branch, which is on the site of the former Pizza Hut unit, will be the second McDonald’s in Christchurch.
The application for its build was submitted by retail park owner St James Place Trust and approved by BCP Council’s planning committee in September 2021.
There were initial plans for a summer 2022 opening, but this was delayed.
