DRAINAGE works on A31 at Ringwood have finally been completed, ending more than a week of “nightmare” traffic delays.
Lane one on the A31 westbound between the M27 for Southampton and the A338 is now fully reopened after drainage repair works were finished.
The single lane closure had been in place since January 17 after flood water continued to run off the saturated surrounding land and into the road, regularly freezing over and becoming a hazard for motorists.
Traffic cones around the affected area were lifted shortly before 3pm on Thursday, January 26, and the lane was fully cleared shortly before 5pm.
No delays on the road have been reported since the closure was lifted.
