BOURNEMOUTH residents have been left “shocked” after a man sustained head injuries after he was allegedly assaulted by three people.

A man, aged in his 30s, was allegedly assaulted by three men in in Seabourne Road in Pokesdown late at night on Thursday, January 26.

People living close to the incident, which happened at a patch of grass next to The Bell Inn, said it was a “surprise” to see a police cordon in place throughout the morning.

Carlos, owner of Cali Café, said: “This hasn’t been happening a lot here. There is not a lot of crime happening here as often as there used to be. It is a shock to hear this.”
