A CYCLIST had to be treated for injuries in Bournemouth yesterday evening.
Dorset Police and the ambulance service were called to a report of an injured cyclist in Columbia Road, in Bournemouth, just before 6.15pm on Thursday, February 2.
The male cyclist was treated by the ambulance service for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
A witness said she saw a man lay in the floor at the roundabout at the junction of Kinson Road and Columbia Road, as well as police and two ambulances.
No car or any other people were involved in the incident.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 6.12pm on Thursday, February 2 of an injured cyclist in Colombia Road in Bournemouth.
“Officers attended and the male cyclist was treated by the ambulance service for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
“Officers left the scene at around 6.50pm.”
A spokeswoman for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 18.04hrs on Thursday 2 February to an incident in Bournemouth. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and a doctor. We conveyed one patient to Poole Hospital.”
