FIVE men have appeared in court over an alleged cannabis factory.
Police executed a warrant at premises in Westminster Road, Wareham, on Wednesday, February 1.
Searches conducted by officers reportedly located a “large-scale operation” cultivating what was believed to be cannabis.
Five men were charged in relation to Dorset Police’s investigation.
They all appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, February 4.
Elvis Martini, 24, Klodi Martini, 25, Gjovalin Hila, 32, Nikolin Hila, 33 and Bardh Ndoja, 51, all of no fixed abode, have been charged with conspiring to produce a quantity of cannabis, a drug of class B.
The defendants did not enter pleas to the allegation and the case was sent up to Bournemouth Crown Court, with a plea and trial preparation hearing due to take place on Thursday, March 9.
The five men were remanded in custody ahead of the next hearing.
