MOTORISTS have been warned of disruption as work begins across two main routes in Poole.

Extensive roadworks have started in Herbert Avenue and Yarmouth Road today.

Both sets of work are due to continue into the coming weeks. Here’s what to expect.

Herbert Avenue is fully closed between the junctions of Rossmore Road and Northmere Road.

Work is being carried out to install a wastewater sewer connection to a new housing development by O’Marah Construction.

The closures will be in place until Friday, February 24.

BCP Council said they have arranged for the work to be completed during the school half term break and have asked South West Water to complete other related work during the same period to “avoid disruption”.

Motorists are being diverted along Alder Road, up to the Wallisdown roundabout and towards the Moutbatten Roundabout.
