CASTLEPOINT has announced another new business is to open in its shopping park next month.
Health and wellness store Holland & Barrett is to move into the former Mountain Warehouse, making it one of the company’s largest category outlets nationwide.
Holland & Barrett, known for selling beauty products, food, vitamins, minerals and supplements, is expected to open at Bournemouth's Castlepoint in March and owners have signed a six-year lease.
A spokesperson for Holland & Barrett said: “We are delighted to be joining the line up at Castlepoint; offering the perfect catchment as well as two supermarkets and a strong line up of tenants to help drive regular footfall, we are confident in our decision to invest here.
“We have a number of exciting store openings looking ahead to 2023 and, while historically we have targeted high street locations, out-of-town retail destinations present the perfect area for growth.”
The new store will also feature a consultation room, allowing customers to speak with a qualified-to-advise associate to seek advice on their wellness.

Kannika Mall, on behalf of the joint venture owners of Castlepoint, added “It’s great to be kicking off the new year with an exciting announcement as we continue to attract significant interest from a range of retail and leisure operators.

“We are seeing customers from wider communities willing to travel to access sites like Castlepoint, which allows operators to offer their full ranges, prompting interest from international and more varied retailers. With this in mind, we look forward to further exciting opportunities in 2023.”
The arrival of Holland & Barrett comes not long after Mountain Warehouse moved premises in the shopping park to open its largest store.
American sports brand Nike has also submitted plans to BCP Council in January to open a store in the former GAP outlet shop.
Castlepoint's owners said there has been “significant interest” expressed in another two stores.
