ENQUIRIES are ongoing into the reported rape of a teenage girl in the toilets of a Bournemouth bar earlier this year.
As reported, the 17-year-old victim was in Revolution in Old Christchurch Road early on Sunday, January 1, when she met a man on the dancefloor.
It is reported that she was subsequently sexually assaulted by the man in the female toilets at the venue.
After the incident was reported to police, a rape investigation was launched along with a CCTV image appeal of a male who officers wished to speak with in connection.
Dorset Police has since said no updates into the investigation are available and that enquiries are continuing.
Detective Constable Emma Jeffries, of Bournemouth CID, previously said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident and specially-trained officers are continuing to support the victim.
“We have obtained a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to, and I am now in a position to release this to the public in the hope that somebody might recognise him.
“I would urge anyone with information regarding this man’s identity to please contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at dorset.police.uk/contact or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55230000231.
