OFF-road biking youths have ‘narrowly missed’ striking dog walkers according to concerned police.
Poole Police are asking for assistance from members of the public following numerous issues involving off-road bikes in the area.
This follows numerous incidents at Turlin Moor Recreation Ground where young people reportedly rode motorbikes, pit bikes, quad bikes and mopeds across the playing fields.
However, recent incidents have resulted in a direct plea from police for information following near misses with pedestrians.
A spokesperson from Poole Police said on social media: “Because it is half term and we have had a spate of mild weather, we have seen an increase in youths riding off-road bikes in a dangerous manner.
“We have had reports of youths riding around and narrowly missing pedestrians and dogs.
“If you can identify the riders or other members of the group, please report it to us via 101 or 999 (in an emergency). You can also report using the Dorset Police website.”
