A WOMAN involved in a crash involving a motorbike and car died as a result of a head injury, an inquest has heard.
Helen Cooper, aged 46, was the passenger on a motorcycle involved in a collision with a car in Castle Lane West, Bournemouth, at around 6.30pm on Saturday, February 11.
An inquest into the death of Ms Cooper was opened at Bournemouth Town Hall by senior coroner Rachael Griffin on Friday, February 17.
Ms Cooper, who was born in Ashford, Middlesex, and was living in Bournemouth, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and died as a result of head injuries sustained, according to a doctor’s statement read by Mrs Griffin.
Mrs Griffin adjourned the inquest until September 9, 2023.
As reported, police and the ambulance service were called to the crash at around 6.30pm on February 11 and closed the road in both directions to allow emergency services to respond to the crash, which took place in the area of East Way.
Following the crash, a man aged in his 40s riding the motorcycle was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The female driver of the car was uninjured.
Following the opening of the inquest, Dorset Police said no arrests had been made in relation to the crash.
