AFTER going two and a half years without, Ringwood town centre finally has its Post Office back.
Family run art store and newsagent Lunns of Ringwood has taken the mantle of the town centre post office, once again giving the market town three such facilities after opening on Friday, February 17.
The shop, at Christchurch Road, offers customers a range of Post Office services, from posting letters and parcels to collecting and returning online shopping items.
Customers can also take advantage of various banking services including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries for all the main UK banks.
Providing 49 hours of Post Office service a week, the opening times at the site are 8.30am to 1pm on Mondays and Saturdays, and 8am to 4pm from Tuesday to Friday.
The original Post Office branch located in the old McColl's store in Southampton Road closed on August 26, 2020, after the incumbent postmaster resigned. The unit is to be taken over by gift, stationary and books retailer The Works in March.
Antoinette Chitty, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We are delighted to have restored Post Office services to Ringwood as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
Post Office services are offered from a low-screened, open-plan counter alongside the retail counter.
