POLICE arrested a man in a Bournemouth Lidl over the weekend after he was allegedly being violent toward a woman believed to be known to him.
Officers were called to the Lidl store in Wimborne Road, Winton, at around 3.30pm on Sunday, February 26.
It is alleged a 51-year-old man was being violent toward a woman believed to be known to him.
A witness said he saw two police cars pull up to Lidl and take a man away.
It is understood the woman sustained no injuries and the man was arrested on suspicion of assault
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 3.28pm on Sunday 26 February of a man being violent toward a woman who was believed to be known to him.
“Officers attended and a 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
“It was reported that the woman had not sustained any serious injuries.”
