SCHOOLS across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are set to close today as teachers strike over pay and conditions.
There will be full and partial closures across the conurbation on Thursday, March 2, as members of the National Education Union (NEU) are taking their second day of strike action, after the first on February 1.
The NEU is demanding a fully funded pay rise for teachers that is above inflation, after the Department for Education offered a five per cent pay rise that was to come from school budgets.
The local authority has said parents will have received communications from schools surrounding full or partial closures.
A spokesperson for the council said if parents have any doubts around schools being open or closed, they should contact the school.
The council issued the following details on which schools will be closed, partially open and open on Thursday. This information was accurate as of 4.30pm on Wednesday, March 1.
