Details on the cases of seven people recently dealt with at Poole Magistrates' Court.
BOURNEMOUTH
MARIUS MIDHA, aged 22 and of North Circular Road, London, admits using a Volkswagen Golf in Cavendish Road, Bournemouth, on December 30, 2022, without insurance. Fined £120. To pay £80 surcharge. Driving record endorsed with six points. Also admits failing to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates’ Court on January 16, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on December 31, 2022. Fined £80.
BARRY WILLIAM CLARK, aged 30 and of HMP Lewes, admits stealing scratch cards valued at £30 belonging to Tesco Extra in Riverside Avenue, Bournemouth, on October 7, 2020. Committed to prison for eight weeks concurrent. To pay £30 compensation.
CHRISTCHURCH
JOSHUA JAMES ELLIS, aged 33 and of Barrack Road, Christchurch, admits driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Hurn Road, Christchurch, on August 7, 2022, with greater than 800 micrograms of benzoylecgonine, the main metabolite of cocaine, per litre of blood. Fined £200. To pay £80 surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 20 months.
MARTIN LEWIS FOULGER, aged 37 and of Havelock Way, Christchurch, admits assaulting a woman by beating her in Christchurch on September 10, 2022. Community order made, whereby the defendant must take part in a 42-day Building Better Relationships programme and carry out 80 hours of unpaid work. To pay £114 surcharge and £85 costs.
POOLE
DAVID BRIAN JOHN CRAGO, aged 41 and of Mansfield Close, Poole, admits assaulting a man by beating her at Bournemouth beach on August 20, 2022. Committed to prison for 12 weeks concurrent. To pay £150 compensation. Also admits assaulting PC Liam Pryer, an emergency worker acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him at Bournemouth beach on August 20, 2022. Committed to prison for 16 weeks concurrent. To pay £150 compensation. Also admits commission of a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order made on May 13, 2022, for offence of possession of a knife. Suspended sentence of imprisonment of four months suspended for 12months implemented. Also aadmits assaulting PS Ashley White, an emergency worker acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating her at Bournemouth beach on August 20, 2022. Committed to prison for 12 weeks concurrent. To pay £150 compensation.
MATTHEW JAMES FENDLEY, aged 49 and of Sunnyside Road, Poole, admits assaulting a man by beating him in Longfleet Road, Poole, on August 11, 2022. Community order made, whereby the defendant must take part in up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement. To pay £50 compensation. Also admits damaging a rear window to a white Hyundai motor vehicle at Poole General Hospital in Longfleet Road, Poole, on June 13, 2022. Community order made. Also admits attending Poole General Hospital on January 28, which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order imposed on January 10. Community order made. MARK BRENDAN ROY, aged 25 and of Northmere Road, Poole, admits using violence for the purpose of securing entry into premises in Frances Road, Bournemouth, on February 5, knowing that there was someone present on those premises who was opposed to the said entry. Community order made, whereby the defendant must take part in a 30-day Building Better Relationships programme and up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement. To pay £250 compensation and £50 surcharge.
