A NEW state-of-the-art spa is set to open at a five-star Bournemouth hotel next month.

The spa at The Nici hotel, on the West Cliff, is billed to open in April, featuring a wide range of facilities and treatments.

It will include treatment and fitness facilities, such as a gym, treatment and relax rooms, a 15m heated indoor pool, hydropool, a sauna and a steam room, along with a 25m outdoor pool.

There will be eight treatment rooms, with the hotel partnering with award-winning spa brands OTO CBD and OSKIA. Together they have created a menu of bespoke treatments and holistic therapies, including bamboo massage, sound therapy and innovative anti-ageing techniques.

Bournemouth Echo:

The hotel hopes to create a “vibrant yet tranquil space” at the spa.

Alongside the spa and indoor swimming facilities, the gym will include studio space and a range of fitness and wellbeing classes. There will also be a program of outdoor group fitness activities, from boardwalk runs, to sea swims, paddle-board yoga and beach fitness classes.

A relaxation room will allow guests to access “a haven from the outside world; complete with crystal energy loungers to sink into; helping the body to restore to its natural equilibrium”.

Marcus O’Leary, general manager at the hotel, said: “We are delighted to unveil the next phase of our five-star development – as we work to re-define the UK staycation, with a new style of hotel resort.

“The addition of a luxury new spa (Bournemouth’s first) and huge outdoor pool will further transform the hotel into a year-round destination.”
