AN award-winning hairdresser sharing her skills with trainees- Haze Burke is Trader of the Week.
When Haze Burke relocated to Christchurch from Manchester two years ago, she brought her passion for hairdressing with her.
The 41-year-old had been working in the industry for 20 years prior, finding her talent with hair extension fittings.
Haze said: “I won an NHF (National Hair Federation) award in 2004 and that’s when I really started getting into the hair extensions. That was the moment my passion was born.”
Now, Haze is working in Mane salon in Bournemouth, looking after clients to give them their dream head of hair with extensions.
She also continues to promote her own hair extension courses, which she had written to share her knowledge with aspiring hairdressers.

Haze said: “After growing increasingly frustrated with the quality of education on offer and loving to teach myself, I decided to do a degree and completed my certificate of education in 2016 followed by my assessors award the same year.
“I have now written my own fully accredited courses in seven different methods of hair extensions and am so excited to be able to share and impart the knowledge I have gained throughout the years.
“I am also starting up an extension training programme and company called Hairology Extensions Limited which will launch next month.
"This will be as well as continuing to work in the salon looking after clients, because it's something I still love after all these years."
Haze’s talent and passion for hairdressing does not go unrecognised, and she has recently been named as a finalist for ‘Hair Extension Specialist of the Year’ in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2023.
She will find out if she has been successful next month.
Speaking on the achievement, Haze said: “I still can’t believe it. My husband keeps saying ‘you might win’ but I tell him I won’t. Its just really nice to be a finalist at least.
"It’s the whole of the UK, so it’s a big thing for me.”
