AN ECO-FRIENDLY clothes swap event returns to Southbourne next week.
Founded by two Southbourne business-women, Swish It! saves unwanted clothes from ending up in landfill and reduces how many new items need to be made.
Attendees are invited to bring along quality pre-loved clothes and finish the night with a revamped wardrobe, reducing waste and protecting the planet at the same time.
Tickets are £5 per person, and non-swapping visitors are also welcome to shop.
Any un-swapped clothing left will be going to the Wardrobe Foundation, where clothing gift bags will be made for women in need.
Since launching in January 2022, Swish It! has raised over £1000 for Wardrobe Foundation and saved tonnes of clothes from landfill.
Swish It! host, Alice Nichol, and Founder of sustainable styling service, Buddy and Noo, commented: “Last year was a great success for Swish It! we had an absolute blast, saving lots of clothes from landfill and raising much-needed funds for Wardrobe Foundation.”
Lizzie McManus, Founder of Warrior, an ethical PR agency, added: “We’ve gained a great a group of regulars that attend each event and we’ve always got people asking when our next events are happening.”
Swish It! returns on Thursday the 23rd of March at The Brewhouse and Kitchen in Southbourne. Tickets can be purchased here.
