A BOURNEMOUTH man has been jailed for stealing more than £2,000 worth of alcohol from a New Milton store.
Thomas Mellor, of Westover Road in Bournemouth, appeared before Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday, March 14.
The 42-year-old was sentenced for three shoplifting offences from a Tesco store in Caird Avenue, New Milton, spanning since December.
The court heard how he shoplifted from the store on December 21 and stole alcohol and crisps.
He also shoplifted £1,500 of alcohol on February 13 and more than £700 worth of alcohol on February 18 – as well as two pairs of jeans.
Mellor was jailed for 20 months.
