SHOPPERS and foodies have enjoyed the return of a vegan market in Bournemouth this weekend.

The Vegan Market Co took over the Triangle on Saturday, bringing a huge variety of vegan offerings together in one place.

It was the second time the market had been hosted in the town, following a successful first event in November last year.

Visitors enjoyed a range of vegan street food, artisan bakes, craft cheeses and handmade cosmetics.

Ethical clothing and jewellery, arts and crafts and charity stalls were also set up for shoppers to browse.

One trader at the market was 27-year-old Isla Pendreigh with her business Isla Jayne Crafts.

Speaking on the day, Isla said: “It’s been great. It’s a great location for it because it’s right in the town and there’s lots of footfall.

“We have a lot of students here and I think it’s really important for a lot of young people to be vegan, or just more ethical and more environmentally friendly.

“It’s also spreading that idea of veganism with other people who might not be so familiar with it, or don’t realise what you can actually get that is vegan, so it’s good to share that with more people.”
