FOLLOWING consecutive ‘Requires Improvement’ ratings, a care home in Boscombe has been rated as ‘Good’ by inspectors.
Fairways Residential Care Home received the improved rating after an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which found “improvements had been since our last inspection”.
The report rated the home as being ‘Good’ across all areas inspected.
The CQC report said: “People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.”
It added: “The management team were open and transparent and encouraged staff to share ideas and participate in the development of the service.”
Kimberley Devlin, executive director of operations for Tricuro, which runs the home, said: “Tricuro are delighted with the recent CQC inspection held at Fairways Care home, led by Tracy Green - Registered Manager.
“Tracy Green and all the staff who work at Fairways have been pivotal in enabling the service to achieve Good in all areas, and Tricuro are immensely proud.
“Tricuro are and always will be committed to keeping people safe, and to ensure that those who use our services have the best quality of care and support.
“We look forward to building upon the good we are doing at Fairways and will aspire to gain outstanding in the future.”
