MORE than 200 people who got down and muddy with their dogs at Upton Country Park over the weekend raised more than £12,000.

Dog owners took part in the inaugural Lewis-Manning's Muddy Dog Dash on Sunday, March 26 to raise money for the Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.

Participants took on a 2km or 4km obstacle course, which consisted of hurdles, weave poles, ball pits, and jumps and humps over a muddy circuit.

Ruth Wright, area fundraiser at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, said: “We are absolutely ecstatic that so many people from our community came out on the Sunday to have buckets of fun and laughter, whilst raising vital funds for our hospice.
