ALMOST 200 applications for street parties have been submitted to BCP Council as the country counts down to the coronation.
BCP Council said it had received a total of 187 applications across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.
People across the country and the commonwealth will be coming together to mark the coronation of King Charles III next month with an extra bank holiday taking place for the historic event.

In Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, three big screens will be installed in Bournemouth’s Lower Gardens, The Quomps in Christchurch and Baiter Park in Poole.
On Saturday, May 6, residents will be able to watch the coronation service at Westminster Abbey and are encouraged to take chairs and a picnic as the new king is crowned.
Then on Sunday, May 7, residents can bring a picnic to one of the three locations as part of the Coronation Big Lunch and enjoy the music on the big screens which will be showing the special Coronation Concert taking place at Windsor Castle.
