SCHOOLS across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole will be closed or partially shut tomorrow due to national strike action.

Members of the National Education Union are set to take their fifth day of strike action on Thursday, April 27, at schools across the conurbation, after they voted overwhelmingly to strike.

The union is demanding pay increases that “at least match cost of living increases” and are fully funded in school budgets, after the government gave teachers “a very poor” offer at the beginning of April.

This action follows strikes in February and March.

BCP Council have said parents should have been informed of closures, but they should contact the school if they have any doubts.
