A TOILET and changing room for people who are disabled is to be built at Knoll Beach, Studland by Dorset Council.

It will be immediately to the east of existing facilities and to the south of the National Trust shop and café building.

The council plans a flat-roofed single storey “Changing Places” accessible WC which will include washing and changing facilities. The 4.8 by 3.5 metres building will be clad in timber-effect boarding with a single steel door.

Its design will allow for someone, or two people, to support a disabled person with a height adjustable adult changing bench, a ceiling track hoist and a peninsular toilet.

Dorset Council’s eastern area planning committee is being recommended to approve the building when it meets on May 3rd.

There have been no comments on the advertised proposal and no objection from Studland parish council or the ward councillor.
