A DRUG dealer was caught with more than £4,000 worth of cocaine just months after being arrested with 39 bags of the same drug.

Ermal Jahelezi gave false details to police when he was pulled over in a Mitsubishi in Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth.

Officers combed his vehicle to find a quantity of cocaine.

Following his arrest, the 23-year-old was searched while in custody with police seizing a further stash of the class A drug with a total street value of around £4,100.

Just a few months before, police had been called to a property in Talbot Road after concerns were raised for an occupant.

Inside, they found Jahelezi who was in possession of 39 bags of cocaine and £170 in cash.

A further search of the property revealed a large quantity of suspected cocaine.

Jahelezi, of Bournemouth, later pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and two counts of possessing a controlled drug of class A with intent.

Appearing at Bournemouth Crown Court last month, he was jailed for three years and seven months.

Police Constable Kirsty Foster, of the Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, said: “We recognise the impact the supply of drugs has on our communities and the concern it causes for residents.

“We are committed to doing all we can to disrupt the activity of those involved in supplying drugs.

“We will continue to take action against drug dealers such as Ermal Jahelezi and we would urge members of the public with information about drug related activity in their area to please report it to us at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101.”
