A DOG named Brian is among eight animals looking for permanent homes in Dorset this week.

Animal rescue centre Margaret Green needs to find owners for dogs, rabbits and cats in its care.

Can you help? All the details are below.

Bournemouth Echo: DjangoDjango (Image: Margaret Green)

Django is a handsome, 10-year-old Lurcher who loves all things active and fun. This lovely lad can be fairly shy when he first meets new people, so he is looking for a patient and kind family with adults who can help him grow in confidence. Django would really benefit from living with another calm, confident dog who he can lean on for support and will help him adapt into family life.

Brian is a three-year-old Lurcher who is a friendly and welcoming chap. He would love to find a family with adults who will help with his recall and lead manners, and have access to some enclosed places where he can practice, stretch his legs and have fun safely. We think Brian would be happy to live with a canine friend, but he would be most comfortable in a home without smaller pets.

Bournemouth Echo: MaddoxMaddox (Image: Margaret Green)

Maddox is a fun-loving Doberman cross who is around 18 months old and has a larger than life personality. Pending successful introductions, Maddox could live with a like-minded dog but we feel he would be best suited to a home without cats or smaller animals. Maddox would love to find a family with adults and teenagers who will have time to continue his training, and take him for long walks every day.

Bournemouth Echo: MistyMisty (Image: Margaret Green)

Misty is a beautiful five-year-old who initially found the cattery quite an overwhelming place. Since becoming more comfortable in our care, Misty’s sweet personality has started to shine and we have realised how much she loves having company around her. We feel that Misty would benefit from a quiet adult home where she can be given lots of patience, security and space to feel safe.

Bournemouth Echo: TinyTiny (Image: Margaret Green)

Tiny & Oz are a super sweet pair of six-year-olds who are looking for a new home together. Oz is the more outgoing of the two and will happily approach us for some attention, whereas Tiny is a little more reserved and prefers the comfort of her bed to watch us.

Bournemouth Echo: OzOz (Image: Margaret Green)

We feel they would be best suited to a home with adults and older children, in a more rural location.

Bournemouth Echo: Vernon and TikkaVernon and Tikka (Image: Margaret Green)

Vernon & Tikka are a lovely pair of three-year-old rabbits who are highly adventurous and thrive on having somewhere up high, where they can go to sit up and look out over the world around them. We believe they would be at their happiest in a home where they will receive lots of fuss from their new family, and have plenty of enrichment and space to hop around and explore.
