THIEVES have reportedly stolen thousands of pounds worth of jewellery from a shopping village in Bournemouth.
The owners of antique emporium The Den have shared CCTV images of two men they say stole from one of their traders.
James Irvine and Megan Noble said around £3,700 worth of antique jewellery, including a pair of diamond earrings, was taken from the trader’s locked glass cabinet.
The theft, which occurred shortly before 2pm on Thursday afternoon, is being investigated by Dorset Police.
Megan described how the theft has been “devastating” for the trader. She said: "This sort of thing is damaging to any shop, but we are full of very small independent businesses, and when your business is that small, that amount of money is so damaging.
“It’s not nice, and it's not ok. People go around and do these things, without thinking about the repercussions it will have on the person they’ve targeted.
“She’s really quite upset and stressed by it.”
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at around 4.40pm on Thursday, May 11, of the theft of items.
“The incident is reported to have occurred between approximately 1.35pm and 1.55pm. Enquiries are ongoing into the report.
“No arrests have been made.”
