Two helicopters have landed at Bournemouth beach to respond to an ongoing incident this evening.
The beach has been cleared on both sides of the pier while emergency services work at the scene
Police have confirmed that they were called to the beach near the pier at 4.32pm to assist HM Coastguard and the ambulance service, who are dealing with the incident.

Firefighters have also been spotted at the scene.
Police have closed Pier Approach and buses are being diverted around the area.
A witness told the Echo she was at the beachfront when the incident began.
She said she saw one person being assisted on the beach and 10-15 minutes later another person was also being given treatment by emergency services.
