A SHIP carrying more than 100 people has become the first cruise vessel to visit the Port of Poole this season.
MV Corinthian arrived in the early hours of May 27 with guests soon splitting into groups and going on excursions to Abbotsbury Swannery, Bournemouth, Corfe Castle, Swanage, Sandbanks.
The cruiser is owned and operated by Grand Circle Cruise Line and is a small ship at 88 metres long with capacity for carrying 98 passengers and 60 crew.
It was built in 1990 and refurbished in 2015.
Speaking on Monday, June 5, about the vessels’ visit, a Poole Harbour Commissioners’ spokesperson said: “We hope the guests had a great time over here and we hope to welcome her back again in the future.”
As of Monday afternoon, MV Corinthian is docked at Belfast Harbour.
