A DRIVER has appeared in court accused of causing the death of a man after a major crash on the A338.
A 31-year-old man from Hampshire died at the scene of the crash on the A338 northbound, near the Ashley Heath roundabout, on the evening of June 15.
Meanwhile, a woman in her 70s was taken to hospital in a critical condition and a woman in her 30s sustained serious injuries.
Officers remained in the area throughout Friday carrying out investigations.
Appearing at Poole Magistrates Court on June 19, Yusuf Muzil entered no pleas to the death by dangerous driving charge as well as two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The case has been adjourned to be heard at Bournemouth Crown Court on July 20.
The defendant, who is 22 and of Cricklewood in London, was remanded in custody.
Two other men, both from London, were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice but have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
