Police have put out a warning to young people after an increase in underage drinking and anti-social behaviour.
Officers seized several bottles of alcohol in Sandbanks last night after young people were caught trying to conceal it.
Poole Police have been responding to numerous cases of groups of young people “heavily intoxicated and causing a nuisance smashing glass and generally being anti-social.”
Youths have been caught hiding alcohol in bushes and concealing it in fizzy drink bottles.
This comes after many students have been finishing their GCSEs and celebrate the end of school.
Police are warning on social media that alcohol will be seized and disposed of if age identification cannot be proved.
“If youths are found to be causing anti-social behaviour, we will be contacting parents to come and collect children and they will be issued with a Section 35 preventing them from returning to the area for the duration of the weekend," a police spokesperson said.
Poole Police added that they are not trying to "ruin people’s fun" but are instead encouraging the public to be respectful of the local community.
Officers will continue to patrol local neighbourhoods throughout the summer.
