Two people were taken to hospital after a car came off a dual carriageway and crashed into a tree.
Police and ambulance service crews rushed to the A338 Wessex Way on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway near the Cooper Dean Roundabout at 11.47am.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “It was reported that the vehicle involved – a Mercedez-Benz – had left the carriageway and had collided with a tree.
“Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and the occupants of the vehicle – a man aged in his 90s and a woman aged in her 80s – were taken to hospital for treatment.
“We do not have any further update at this time on their conditions.
“The vehicle was recovered and officers left the scene at around 1.40pm.”
