An established hotel in Christchurch town centre has gone on the market for £4m.
Harbour Hotels Group is selling The Kings Arms Hotel in Castle Street.
The boutique hotel, which dates back to the Georgian period, was recently refurbished.
The listing also includes the multi-award-winning King’s Restaurant with a wedding venue and events facilities.
Savills and joint agents Christie & Co are marketing the hospitality venue for Harbour Hotels.
James Greenslade, director in the hotel capital markets team at Savills, said: “This is an exceptional boutique hotel with a well-established reputation for food and beverage as well as events in one of Dorset’s most desirable areas.”
The estate agents say that the property is comprised of two main elements – the 20 en-suite bedroom hotel, restaurant and function or wedding space, which is held freehold, and the bowling green and pavilion, which is used for events and is held leasehold.
Ed Bellfield, Christie & Co hotels director, said: “The Kings Arms Hotel has an established reputation, appealing to both leisure and corporate guests due to its proximity to the South Coast, Poole and the New Forest National Park.
“There is significant scope for an experienced owner/operator to invest in the site and benefit from its exceptionally unique location.”
The King’s Restaurant can host up to 80 covers and it is one of the only restaurants in Dorset to have been awarded the Bib Gourmand Award for three consecutive years between 2014 and 2016.
There is also a separate bar area with 60 covers and a functions space for up to 120 guests.
Both the King’s Pavilion and bowling green have also been recently restored.
Harbour Hotels founder and chief executive Nicolas Roche acquired the property in 2005 just two years after founding the business.
The group now has more than a dozen sites across the south, including Harbour Hotel Christchurch in Mudeford.
In 2021, renowned hotelier Mr Roche bought The Savoy Hotel in Bournemouth and set about a £25M transformation of the venue into The NICI.
