The Bournemouth Air Festival is set to return for 2023, with attendees being able to take in many marvellous displays from aircraft.
The event is expected to bring in thousands of people and will feature the likes of the Typhoon, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Chinook.
That's of course alongside the Red Arrows, with more announcements on the line-up expected soon.
On the Bournemouth Air Show website, it says: "The award-winning family-friendly event includes dazzling dusk performances and entertainment on land.
"After a historic Platinum Jubilee last year, marking 70 years of service by the Queen to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, we’re so excited to bring you this year’s festival in the year of the King’s Coronation."
When is the Bournemouth Air Festival for 2023?
The event will be held over four days from Thursday, August 31 to Sunday, September 3.
Alongside the air displays there will be places and activities to take in on land too, such as the Armed Forces and Royal Air Force villages, funfair and band performances.
Decision being made on the future of Bournemouth Air Festival
BCP Council leader Cllr Vikki Slade said the current administration will be “looking at future options” for the Bournemouth Air Festival.
This has no bearing on this year's event.
The Three Towns Alliance administration, which took control of the council after May's local elections, is expected to deal with an item titled ‘Future Options - Bournemouth Air Festival’ at its first cabinet meeting on July 26.
A summary of the forthcoming decision published on the local authority’s website said: “To make a decision on the future of Bournemouth Air Festival beyond 2023.”
It is likely a report will be published in the week before the meeting.
Any decisions will not impact this year’s air festival.
