A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was assaulted in Bournemouth town centre.
A 24-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested following an incident in Old Christchurch Road early on Saturday morning, July 22.
A man from Bournemouth in his 20s has been taken to hospital for what are believed to be serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police received a report of an assault outside Bar Me at 6.01am.
Officers attended along with the ambulance service.
A huge cordon was put in place while enquiries were carried out.
A blue tent was also put up in Old Christchurch Road while officers conducted their investigations.
Dorset Police said the arrested man remains in custody.
A spokesperson said: “There will be an increased police presence in the area and officers from the local neighbourhood policing team will be stepping up patrols in the vicinity throughout the weekend.
“They can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.”
The cordon in Old Christchurch Road has now been lifted.
The cordon stretched from Glen Fern Road to the junction with Dean Park Crescent and Fir Vale Road.
A cordon remains in place in Lorne Park Road.
