A BINMAN was knocked down by two thugs on a motorbike who swore at his colleagues before fleeing in a shocking hit-and-run.
Dorset Council-employed refuse worker Richard Legg was crossing Blandford Road in Upton during his morning rounds when the black scooter came out of nowhere.
Footage shows how the rider veered into the wrong side of the road to overtake a white van that had stopped to let Richard cross before ploughing into him.
Richard, 19, was thrown hard to the ground in the collision, which happened on Monday, July 17.
The two people on the bike came off the vehicle but quickly picked it up and sped off without checking to see if Richard was okay.
As they overtook the bin lorry, the pillion passenger was seen to give the driver the middle finger.
Although Richard was able to carry on with his round he later went to hospital with bruising to his shoulder and ribs.
Police have since launched an investigation into the hit-and-run crash. The number plates on the bike had also been removed.
Speaking about the incident, Richard said: “I had just put my last bin on the lorry and then put it back when it happened.
“The white van on my right let me cross the road and the car coming the other way did the same.
“As I went to cross the road the bike came out of nowhere then went straight into me.
“They didn't say anything to me and just left.

“Since the accident, I've had pain in my shoulder and ribs and had to go back to hospital to check nothing is broken.
“The hospital said my shoulder is just bruised and they wouldn't X-ray my ribs because they can't really do anything if they are broken.”
A spokesman for Dorset Council’s waste services said: “One of our loaders was a victim of a hit-and-run incident involving a scooter carrying two people while he was emptying bins.
“Fortunately our employee only suffered minor injuries but the outcome could have been much worse.
“The behaviour of these riders is dangerous and irresponsible and shows no regard for our loaders, who are simply doing their job serving our community.”
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “It was reported that the incident had occurred at around 10.25am and the moped, which had a rider and pillion passenger on board, did not stop at the scene.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
