A SHARED workspace at The Dolphin in Poole has celebrated its official launch.
FOUNDRY is a £3m co-working space described as a ‘best-in-class’ offering for individuals and businesses to rent office space.
Around 200 people from local businesses attended its launch event on the evening of Thursday, July 20.
Co-founder Adam Walker hosted an opening presentation dubbing Poole as an ‘aspirational town’.
He said that the office space, which opened in May, is now at 65 per cent revenue occupancy, with more than 80 ‘leading businesses’ signed up.
FOUNDRY fills the previously unused Brownsea House, on the first and second floors at the bus station end of The Dolphin providing space for up to 250 people.
A number of businesses are already confirmed to be using the new facility, including Aparo, Vault X, Poole Property Club and You Are The Media.
FOUNDRY opened its first site in Eastbourne and is set to open another in Walthamstow, London.
Plans for the space in Poole began in summer last year. Adam said when the space opened that it was a ‘huge moment’ for FOUNDRY.
“FOUNDRY started as a passion project, born out of the need to create exciting, productive environments for people to work and build a local community,” he said.
“We’re extremely excited to open in Poole – the team has worked hard since last summer to ensure we open with purpose, to ensure we’re ready to welcome our hugely diverse list of members and brands.
“Being able to provide a vibrant, innovative space that brings together so many entrepreneurial and creative minds in Poole, and beyond, such as Aparo, Vault X and Poole Property Club, is only going to provide more opportunities for the community.”
Clients can rent space in FOUNDRY by the day, week or month, with the co-working space offering boutique, flexible and affordable options for all sectors, including day passes and monthly memberships.
It is available from £25 a day, with members being able to access FOUNDRY’s desks, offices and lounge 24/7.
