Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

Ford
Gender - Male

Ford was removed from a household with 40 other dogs after their owner died, and had lived in conditions which were "extremely poor".
As a result, he is a very scared dog who has been in the care of Ashley Heath since February and has only recently gained enough confidence to go for a walk.
Adopters can expect that it will take him several months to settle in and develop a bond with his new family.
The centre has found him to be less nervous when in the company of another dog and so are seeking to home with a female dog of a similar size.
Adopters should understand that while he may make progress and learn to enjoy the things he is familiar with, he may never be a confident dog and always require a certain level of management to ensure he feels comfortable and isn't put in situations that evoke fear.
Smudge
Gender - Female
Age - Eight years old
Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour - Tabby/White

Smudge arrived at the Ashley Heath centre with a group of others due to a welfare concern and is now looking for a quiet home.
In her previous home, she had little interaction with people and very few visitors, so it would be good for her to have owners who have had experience with nervous cats.
The centre feels that Smudge may get used to another cat given the time to settle, but no dogs.
Additionally, she should not be rehomed within 5 miles of Bournemouth (BH11).
Lucky
Gender - Male
Age - One year old
Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Lucky is a cat who came into the centre due to a welfare concern and is now looking for a forever home.
He is not keen on being handled as it can make him quite stressed, but can enjoy a bit of fuss once he gets to know people.
Lucky came into the centre with another cat so he could potentially share a home with one given time and space to settle.
Additionally, he should not be rehomed within five miles of Christchurch (BH23).
Minnie and Mickey
Gender - Female (Minnie) and Male (Mickey)
Age - Three years old
Breed - New Zealand
Colour - White

Minnie and Mickey are a pair of young adult New Zealand white rabbits who were rescued from a property where there were a large number of other rabbits living in unsuitable conditions.
They have been in RSPCA care for more than a year now, and are hoping to find their forever home.
Given their circumstances of arriving at the centre, they both have a nervous side, but Minnie can be keen to interact with people if there is a treat in it for her.
They have been treated for e. cuniculi, therefore it is possible that they may remain carriers, so should not be homed with other rabbits.
