Police are urgently looking to locate a missing boy who unexpectedly disappeared in Bournemouth.

Joseph Purvis, aged 13, was reported missing from Haverstock Road, Moordown, at around 12.30pm on Sunday, July 30.

It is believed that he was then seen in Charminster Road at around 1pm, police said.

He is described as having short brown hair and blue eyes and is wearing a bright red top with yellow writing and grey or black jogging bottoms, but no shoes. He might have a scooter with him.

Officers are appealing for help with their search from the public.

Inspector Mark Holmes, of Dorset Police, said: “It is completely out of character for Joseph to just take off like he did.

“We believe he was upset when he disappeared and we need to find him urgently.

“I am hoping that somebody may have seen him and can point us to where he might have gone.”
