ARMED police descended on a park in Bournemouth on Monday night.
A helicopter was reported as circling above Redhill Park as numerous officers with police dogs searched the area on foot with flashlights.
The incident was first reported by residents shortly before 8pm on Monday, August 7.
According to witnesses, much of the police presence was centred around the Columbia Road/Beswick Avenue area.
One resident said an armed officer told them to “keep walking” at the bottom of Redhill Drive while officers searched in the nearby woodland.
Dorset Police was approached on Monday evening for more information.
