WHAT has happened to our once lovely town?

On Sunday my partner and I went to Bournemouth to have breakfast at WestBeach with my son and grandchildren.

We decided to park in the BIC multi-storey car park. The place was very busy and I drove to the eighth floor.

I was turning into a space only to see a king size mattress in the space with two men fast asleep on it under blankets – surrounded by empty beer cans and other rubbish.

I eventually found a space and headed to the lift which was out of order.

Deciding to take the stairs we were met with a strong smell of urine.

Every corner of the stairs was stained by urine and smelt disgusting.

Maybe the BIC should change its name to the concrete cesspit.

After breakfast we decided to walk to the Square through the gardens where we were met with even more people in sleeping bags and the grass covered in discarded cans, cups and paper.

Remembering how lovely the Gardens used to be, we were thoroughly disgusted about what has happened to a once beautiful place.

Why can’t the council see this may be the why people hardly ever come to stay in Bournemouth for weeks/fortnights anymore.

Why do residents have to pay council tax for the town to end up like a filthy ghost town.
