A WELL-known hotel and restaurant in Highcliffe is set for change.
Chef and restauranteur Bradley Green will be taking over the restaurant at the Lord Bute Hotel on Friday, September 1.
He has announced "ambitious" plans for the restaurant, which include a refurbishment in the new year.
While it is not yet known what is happening with the hotel, the long-time hotel manager Chris Denley and current kitchen staff are expected to remain as part of the team.
Bradley’s career began at the illustrious Il Bottaccio in London and led to him working alongside Marco Pierre White.
His creation of Green's - a top-tier brand of London restaurants - became a success collecting 16 awards and a top ranking in Time Out magazine.
In 2019, Green’s was named the exclusive private dining choice of the Royal Berkshire Polo Club, where King Charles is a member.
Beyond his skills in the kitchen, Bradley hails from a rock 'n' roll background.
His father Mick Green was a member of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates and performed alongside icons including Paul McCartney, Van Morrison and Bryan Ferry.
Off stage Mick loved to cook, giving Bradley this unusual rock-star-infused love of food.
Bradley says he is “excited” to take on the Lord Bute restaurant and has offered assurance there will be “no major changes” until after Christmas.
In January, the restaurant will temporarily close for a refurbishment as part of his plans to create a “refined ambience” for guests.
The Daily Echo has contacted the Lord Bute to query the future of the hotel, and to determine if anything will closed amid the takeover.
