A MAN has pleaded guilty to criminal damage following an incident in West Howe earlier this week.
Rhys Miller admitted to criminal damage in Frost Road following an incident on Wednesday, August 16.
Appearing at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 18, Miller was charged by police with threats to commit damage and criminal damage.
The 27-year-old, also of Frost Road, indicated a guilty plea to threats to commit damage and pleaded guilty to criminal damage.
As reported, police received a report at 3.46pm on Wednesday, August 16, a man was seen with a knife concealed in his trousers outside an address in Frost Road in Bournemouth.
It was alleged the man subsequently went inside and there were reports of fires at the property.
Armed police rushed to the road in West Howe and ordered many residents across five blocks of flats to evacuate.
A cordon was put up around the buildings and fire engines arrived to assist to look for a fire using thermal imaging cameras, although none was found.
Miller was remanded in custody and will appear back at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 5.
