A ‘CRAZY’ bike riding DJ event will be returning to Bournemouth this weekend.

Dom Whiting’s Drum and Bass On The Bike will be coming to the town for the third time on Sunday, August 27.

Revellers attending the free event will roll out of the Vitality Stadium car park at 2pm, with Bournemouth dubbed one of Dom's ‘all-time favourite places’.

The cycling and music event was a huge success in both 2021 and 2022, seeing hundreds of people turn out to ride along and get involved in what is described as a ‘moving festival’.

Bournemouth Echo:

Dom became famous over lockdown for mixing music on his bike riding through towns and cities across the UK and Europe.

The events began in March 2021, and he hoped they would be a way for ‘people to get back out, listen to music again and enjoy themselves.’

The 27-year-old has attracted thousands of people wherever he goes and picked up social media followers as he live streams his rides.

He first visited Bournemouth in September 2021, saying that his first ride in Bournemouth ‘was a really good one, better than we expected’.

He returned in October 2022, with hundreds of people on bikes, scooters and roller blades creating an ‘electric atmosphere’ as the collective moved through the town, finishing near Boscombe pier.

Dom played a set earlier this year in February at the Old Fire Station but is returning with his bike this weekend.

The Bournemouth event rounds out a ‘super crazy’ month for Dom, as he returns from events in Amsterdam, Dortmund and the London Car Park show.

In a social media post, he said: “I think the whole of the south coast knows this one is always a cracker.

“For our visit this year it happens to be a bank holiday weekend so expect a longer than usual after party on the beachfront with the weather predicted to be 20 degrees +.”

He added: “I cannot wait for this one. See you Sunday legends.”
