A HOUSE clearance service is set to open a brand-new town centre shop due to ever-growing demand.
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is to expand its House Clearance Shop retail venture with a new store just off the High Street in Ringwood.
It is set to occupy the unit last used by charity shop Prama in Southampton Road and will begin trading on Wednesday, September 13.
According to the Poole-based hospice, the store is opening due to “ever-growing demand for its house clearance services”, as well as the need to raise funds for its charitable endeavours.
The store will sell donated items collected during the charity’s house-clearing service.

Director of retail Susan Newcombe said: “We are delighted to have secured such a prominent and central location in this busy part of Ringwood.
“It’s a great opportunity to let shoppers know about our house clearance and recycling services and how we turn preloved items into extraordinary hospice care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones across Poole, Purbeck and East Dorset.
“Moving, downsizing or house clearing may be a very stressful time, and our aim is to reduce that stress as much as possible.”
When open, it will be the first Lewis-Manning shop outside of Dorset. The charity currently has other stores in Poole, Ashley Cross, Christchurch, Swanage, Westbourne, Winton and Wimborne.
The new store will add to a recent rejuvenation of Southampton Road, following on from the opening of neighbouring unit The Works in March.
The Original Factory Shop, meanwhile, is also set to open a new shop at the former M&Co unit later this year.
Shoppers are invited to the House Clearance Shop opening on September 13 at 10.30am to meet the team, enjoy some refreshments and browse.
Established in 1992, Lewis-Manning Hospice Care provides care to patients facing a life-limiting illness and their families. It offers various free hospice care services designed to help people live more comfortably and closer to home during their illness.
