THIS MIGHT be even better than walkies.
A dog-themed summer fete is coming to Southbourne this month.
Four-legged friends will be able to enjoy a range of activities from sausage bobbing, munching on frozen paw print popsicles, and the ‘famous’ sniff ’n’ find sensory zone.
There will also be a ‘Doggy Olympics’ for the chance to win rosettes and trophies.
Prizes will also be given out for the waggiest tail, best-looking dog, best trick, and most distinguished/elderly dog.
Whilst the dogs have all the fun, adults can entertain one another with a bar and market stalls from independent businesses.
There will be a tombola, ice cream, pizza, and fish 'n' chips, provided by Cafe Riva and Co.
A Doggy Dash will also be held to determine the fastest dog on the day.
All funds raised will go towards Dorset Dog pet food banks.
The four-legged friends and children under 16 go free.
Adult tickets cost £5.
The fete will be held on September 17 at Café Riva on Boscombe Overcliff Drive from 11am to 3.30pm.
