A FLOOD warning has been issued for Christchurch Harbour this evening.
The Environment Agency (EA) has warned of possible flooding between 7pm and 9pm as a result of high tides and strong winds.
The local tide level is forecast to reach 1.23m, and tides are due to be at their highest at 8.15pm.
Areas most at risk include Christchurch Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Stour and Avon.
EA says its incident rooms are open and that it is “closely monitoring the situation”.
It added that the next high tide is expected to be “higher than normal” and may result in a further alert being issued.
